Corsa Balanced Over Pedestrian Area In Coventry
Dramatic pictures supplied from the west Midlands Force Service shows a Vauxhall Corsa balancing on a crash barrier after a luck escape road traffic accident. The driver did have spine injuries and his passenger less so, but looking at what could have been should the small hatchback continued over the barrier to a pedestrian area below is unthinkable.
The Coventry ring road needed to be closed whilst the emergency services did their job which included removing the door of the Corsa to gain access to the driver. It is believed the Vauxhall caught the kerb that then threw the hatchback above and on to the safety barrier, the rear wheels jamming any more movement. Today Coventry had another scrap car to send to the breakers yard.
